Montura. Searching for a new way [www.montura.it]
The company was first created, under another brand name, in 1980. In 1998, with the all-new Montura brand, it participated in the achievements of the world's most important mountaineers who, in doing so, became active Montura partners. The current Montura philosophy is based and created on this experience.
Research which anticipates the future. Montura stems from here: from the desire to look beyond the experienced borders and to search continually for new solutions. Just like a mountaineer who fuels his dreams by exploring the horizons which appear beyond each goal and summit reached. Because it is the knowledge of what has already been and the sensitivity towards what surrounds us which unfolds new panoramas and, at the same time, discovers new needs. And it is this capability of seeing further afield which gives life to new projects.
It is because of this that Montura offers itself to those who not only have objectives, but who also search for a style in reaching them, and who show a particular sensibility towards the mountain environment. Consequently all our apparel is developed in the field, in the mountains and on the walls, drawing from this action, experience and knowledge to stimulate new needs, ideas and goals.
It is this global vision which stimulates our projects. Every item of clothing, right down the the smallest detail, must come to life and be designed for the mountains and men who live, interpret, and dream this environment. A seam, a pocket, the quest for new fabrics all have to combine harmoniously and must be functional for the goal, so as to live the mountains intensely.
Montura is therefore a product imagined, designed, created and tested not only by those who climb mountains, but above all by those who live the mountains passionately, who attempt to understand, interpret and discover them every day anew. For this reason Montura has since its outset collaborated with Mountain Guides and Mountain Rescue volunteers. Just as it has always participated and sustained the projects and ideas of mountaineers, climbers and skiers, accompanying them throughout their adventures.
It is this closeness, this attention to interpreting needs and desires of the mountaineers and mountain lovers that are the basis of our visions. This plethora of views which gives rise to our ideas and drive us to explore new territories which find a concrete answer, other than out products, in Montura Editing: a space which aims to be a meeting point and laboratory to experiment new forms of expression, emotions and visions of reality. Naturally, searching for new ways forward.
