BODY-MIND: LONG-DISTANCE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL PREPARATION
Registrations on 100x100trail.com

WHAT IS IT

The program BODY-MIND is an innovative training methodology, the athlete will be followed by a pool of specialists who will help him to improve his performance from a point of view athletic, technical and mental. As we know, in fact, the mind represents a possible limiting factor of performance like the "bodily" elements; and therefore it makes no sense to focus training only on one of these two aspects, which are deeply connected to each other.

A first remote phase will be followed, as soon as it will be allowed, by a training camp called “Camp Incertitude”, in Aosta Valley, reserved exclusively to program participants, who will be able to meet and exchange experiences. The long-distance training program and camp are however independent and will last for two months.

HOW IT WORKS

STEP 1 - Initial questionnaire

To understand the state of physical fitness, the availability of time to devote to training, the objectives to be achieved.
The questionnaire will be followed by an on-line interview with the technicians to better focus the objectives and the work plan.

STEP 2 - Psychological tests

To understand your typical ways of reacting to stress and difficulties, to measure your personal resilience, to understand your motivational profile.
These data will then be integrated with other data related to your body response to stress and fatigue, which will be collected during "Camp Incertitude" and will help to produce your own RESILIENTprofile ©.

STEP 3 - Field tests

The activity then begins with the request to the participant of some field tests (ex. modified Cooper test type) aimed at establishing both macro-objectives long-term and specific micro-cycles of work.
The athlete will perform them independently, sending the results to the technicians.

STEP 4 - Athletic training and mental preparation program

At this point the athletic training program is sent to the participant, who is provided with feedback on a weekly basis.
For the mental preparation, the athlete will participate in an individual online meeting where the point of the test results will be made; on that occasion he will receive mental training exercises focused specifically on his areas of improvement. In the next two meetings (one at the end of the first month, one at the end of the second month) these “homework” will be reviewed together with the trainer and eventually expanded.

STEP 5 - Camp Incertitude

A trail camp in Aosta Valley reserved exclusively to program participants, who will be able to meet and exchange experiences. Together with the trainers, thewill be evaluated together results of the two months of remote work and the RESILIENTprofile© will be completed with data on the autonomic responses to stress and the measurement of pain thresholds.
