Canepa and Karrera prevail at mount Eiger

Determination,strenght and the consciousness of being among the elite of trail running.Francesca Canepa, from Courmayeur(Aostavalley) sponsored by Montura - Vibram and Iker Karrera, unstoppable Spanish (team Salomon) have won the first edition of the Eiger Ultra Trail.A challenge around one of the most popular and legendary peaks. The two champions easily dominated the competition. The Swiss climber and ambassador of the competition, Ueli Steck claims, that it is "more difficult than the north side of the Eiger".
 
Francesca and Iker have so confirmed their outstanding physical condition at the eve of the Tor des Géants®, positioning themselves among the tipped to win. Canepa, after having won the Andora Ultra Trail, and having been runner up for the Italian National Team at the Worldchampionships at Llanrwst, Galles , is now leaving for the United States in order to participate at the SpeedGoat 50K and at the Outdoor Salt Lake City, one of the most important american fairs entirely dedicated to outdoor sports.
