I fell in love with TORX® since 2012 when I approached the world of trail-running. Right from the start, as a neophyte, hearing the stories of others, I learned that TOR is the dream, the point of arrival, that experience that anyone who practices this sport wants to have once in a lifetime. I entered the world of TOR at a time of its difficulty and I wanted to join in to give a concrete hand. In these 5 years the TOR has not only overcome the difficulties but has grown, just think of the four races it offers today. But I prefer to talk about my personal relationship with TORX®. The TOR is an adventure that every mountain lover should do once in a lifetime because it leaves you with very strong and indelible memories and emotions that then accompany you every day of your life. Being a giant strengthens you, in moments of everyday difficulty, you remember what you went through in those 7 days, the crises, the discovery of the interior and makes you understand that every problem has a solution. For me, TOR is the amplification of the fundamental values of life. The direct and raw relationship with nature, it dominates and conditions every choice and it always wins, so you must always have great respect. Another very important value is human relationships, if you are lucky enough to do the TOR with a partner, it helps you in times of difficulty, especially in the long nights and creates a strong and close relationship. These relationships are emphasized by the world of volunteers whom I will never stop thanking, they are very important, they put all their effort and are fundamental for the success and to give the participants the boost. The relationship with oneself, getting to know each other better and fighting one's weaknesses. And the relationship with the competition that is always there in life, is won and lost. You win if there is planning, passion, consistency and perseverance. If there is improvisation and exaggeration, it is lost, the TOR does not forgive and jumps, as in life. I always come back to TOR, I take a week, to savor the simple and genuine values and the pure contact with nature. Thanks TOR and long live what I consider to be the most beautiful adventure in the world.
