A nice evening about Tor took place last Monday in the historic part of Padova with presentations, chats and images about the race: the audience was packed in order to know more about the emotions of Tor and the landscape of the Aosta Valley. Thanks to Matteo Grassi, vice director of Spirito Trail and Paolo Pajaro, three times finisher of Tor, and to council member of the city for sport Cinzia Rampazzo for their presence and hospitality. To juice up the event it was also there Lisa Borzani, best Italian athlete at the Annecy World Championship and second classified in last year Tor des Géants ( “This year I hope to do something better” says the athlete laughing. She will also take part in Gran Trail Courmayeur, July 11 and 12.)
Alessandra Nicoletti, guest star as Tor organizers, underlined peculiarities and organization issues of the race but also the strong connection of all the VDA Trailers races with the Aosta Valley territory.
So, “Tor is going to town” to show the beauty of its territory and of its mountains and to promote the race itself. There are going to be three more events: Saturday June 13th in Bione ( Brescia), Monday June 15th in Biella, Tuesday July 16th in Marano sul Panaro (Modena). The event in Biella is reserved to Rotary members while the others are open to the public.
