TOR30 – Passage au Malatrà, it is time for the new entry in VDA Trailers’ races

The new entry in VDA Trailers’ races is ready to blossom: tomorrow, Saturday 14 September, at 10 a.m., from Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, the TOR30 – Passage au Malatrà will start, concluding these ten days of TOR X, where show, kilometers, fatigue and entertainment never stopped.

The 30-km race (2.300 m elevation gain) will cross Col du Malatrà, 2.925 m: one of TOR’s iconic places, because it is the beginning of the descent towards the arrival in Courmayeur, and because the view on the Mont Blanc chain is astounding. The 500 runners 500 runners will have 8 hours to complete the route to Jardin de l’Ange, with only the Merdeux cut off time at 12.

The favourite is Davide Cheraz, who recently won Gran Trail Courmayeur 30 km in 2h56’: for the Italian, the challenge is on with winner of last year’s GTC, Kevin Houlné. If the withdrawal from TOR130 – Tot Dret did not have any heavy consequence, Erik Bochicchio is another possible protagonist. As are Federico Mattia De Guio, Simone Corsini, Davide Sapinet, Loris Vuillen and Simone Truc. After 17th place at MCC of Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®, Katrin Bieler is ready to battle until the end, together with American Karen Ringheiser, Austrian Ina Forchthammer and Belgian Muriel Plainchamp.

For TOR30 – Passage au Malatrà, as for the other competitions of TOR X, the awards ceremony will be held at Courmayeur Mountain Sport Center Sunday at 11 a.m.
